Letter From the President

I joined UNSA during my first year of studies, it has had a big impact on me as a person. I became an active member just when I arrived in Maastricht. While I was trying to find my way around in a new city, a new country, UNSA provided a safe environment for me to arrive, gain new experiences, and to get out of my comfort zone. I was welcomed by a loving, caring community that brought out the best sides of myself and encouraged me to grow beyond my limits.

As member of the development committee this past year, I got the chance to work alongside amazing, inspiring people – some of which have become very close friends of mine. I got to know the wide range of projects that make UNSA unique as an association, and learn a lot about development and sustainability, which are both core values that guide all of the work of UNSA.

As the President of UNSA 2026/27, I want to give something back to the association and the people that have shown me so much support and love during the past year. I will embrace the diversity of people and activities that UNSA stands for, while fostering an even stronger team spirit within the association as a whole, help UNSA grow long-term and maintain a safe environment for everyone. Together with the Board, I will lay the base for a year full of inspiring moments with lovely people.
